boot from cd & no keyboard support

Specs: xp pro, 256

I'm using usb keyboard which not work when I try to boot from XP cd to install the OS also there is no OS on the HD so, I need a way to let the CD boot without clicking any key

Can't you try another keyboard. Maybe steal or borrow one if you don't have a spare?

the problem is not the keyboard dod
it is the motherboard there is a problem can't be fixed so I can only use usb keyboard

so what it is the sulotion to make the keyboard run on dos to boot from the cd!!

Does the BIOS not have a LEGACY USB KEYBOARD SUPPORT, though how you get into BIOS is another matter.

By the way XP has no MS DOS it is NT COMMAND PROMPT.

See if you can get into Setup by tapping the delete key while booting. search the Bios and see if you can find any option to enable USB support.

rogerashley thank u for correction

FJB the keyboard does work in the begining!! so i can enter the setup but i can't see any "enable USB support"

but after that the keyboard stop working so when i try to press any key to boot it does not respond
