Boot file error

I get an error at boot up:invalid boot.ini file...what is causing this and how do I get rid of it. The computer boots anyway stating that that it is booting from c:\windows. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Steve

start->run->msconfig->boot.ini copy and paste it here and tell us the specs of ur computer...how it's set up
