Boot error message CMOS/GPNV Checksum Bad

Specs: Windows XP, 512Mb
My computer takes a lot of time to start. After turning off the computer
when i again turn it on then it gives a message that "CMOS/GPNV checksome bad and date and time not set". It also says that "there is problem in your software, windows need dernel.dll to start". So how
Should I solve the problem

I have already made my yahoo ID but while logging it,It says that
your yahoo ID is invalid.Why?

That normally indicates a dead motherboard battery.
