i don't seem to have many problems with my pc these days since having some major parts replaced on my mobo, but i always pop in to read and join in if the opportunity arises. i saw hooners thread and racked my brain for a problem. i do notice when i reboot every 2/3 hours to refresh my pc i sometimes get a frozen black screen with "boot disk error please insert CD" etc. i usually hit the enter key then it boots as normal??. is this something i should be worrying about.

lol, sorry mate, I understand the post now! Maybe something to do with the boot order in your BIOS? I have CDROM set as 1st Boot Device, and I get two "searching for CD" messages at POST, maybe if you changed your boot order and put IDE-0 first? Just a thought............ I don't suffer from insanity, I embrace it.

mmm, i think mines>>> floppy, hd, cdrom. only happens now and again,I'll probably have to wait a fu weeks to find out if it makes a change, thanks.
