heloo xena ! i have no idea what a boot code boundary is but, since its name is "boot code" i would guess its possible a range of memory address reserved for it, or a disc area with do defects. ..................neil

Used to be that the partition boot sector and boot files (NTOSKRNL.EXE) had to be within 7.8 GB from the begining of the disk. Not sure if that's still the case for XP, I'm pretty sure it wasn't for Win98.
There was a BIOS/disk addressing limitation in that older versions couldn't translate CHS beyond 1024 cylinders. Linux likewise suffered from the same limitation.

Thanks. I am a rooky as a lot of folks learning, and have heard rumors of nonbooting on going past this boot code boundary for installation of the OS.

Summary: Depending how/where you are going to put the different OS's (non-removable or removable) I wouldn’t recommend this! Either way you are going to have to get very creative w/ your partitioning and insta...
