ahh tru, I but I have a legal cd and I have a problem no on e can seem to solve.

I booted with My XP cd, and installed the OS. after this and install of many programs, I found none of my windows cd's will boot. (ie: windows98, windows me, Conputer restore cd and my Windows XP cd)

Why does my computer not want to boot from cd anymore? And yes I looked in my bios and the cdrom is set 1st.

sorry to barge into your topic.

Use either ECDC or Nero to create a bootable CD Here what I did

Create an image for my XP fles to be recorded in the CD. I have also add the downloaded recent XP drivers and patches for my machine plus other necessary utilities like Acrobat Reader and Winzip. Download the Windows XP boot sector file and make my Bootable CD tailor made for my Machine.

The following sites have a clear instruction on how to make a bootable Win XP bootable CD

http://www.windowsxp.nu/bootcd/ or
http://www.bink.nu/Bootcd/
