I recently lost my firefox bookmarks. Just to check whether I can find them again or to make periodical backups in the future, I would like to know where they are stored. thanks

In the Profile folder of Firefox, there is also a backup folder for your bookmarks.html file. Normally there are several backup of your bookmarks, because Firefox does this by itself.
