Most of the times I receive the following blue screen stop error after the
Windows XP logo and progress bar disappear upon booting up Windows. This
prevents me from getting into Windows and I have to turn my laptop on and off
several times to eventually get into Windows. Sometimes the screen that
contains this stop error is green rather than blue and has the progress bar
remained on it! Here’s the error:

BAD_POOL_HEADER
Technical Information:
STOP: 0x00000019 (0x00000020,0x8288A108,0x8288A130,0x0A050002)

Some of the parameters in the parentheses vary with each new error.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, How long has this issue been occuring? Since you installed SP3?

This site might be of use also: http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...

I beleive taking the XP steps might have something to do with your problem. But i cant backup my knowledge of this and this link is probably going to seem incredibly irrelevant.

It started happening after a new version of Hotspot Shield was installed. This software is a VPN client and its driver is not digitally signed, so it conflicted with my laptop's wireless adapter driver. I uninstalled Hotspot Shield but nothing has changed. It seems to me that there are some conflicts in the drivers of network adapters. I reinstalled all of them but still the same problem keeps happening.
