What generally causes blue screens? Half the time it doesn't stay on the screen long enough to read what causes it. Is there a program you can download to see whats causing your system to have blue screens? Thanks for the input.

Look in Administrative Tools in Control Panel. You can then look at both system and application logs which might give you a clue.

i have experience with some BSOD blue screen of death mine was caused by a memory module i had to move them around then another bsod was caused by a program i installed i got the bsod and then i coudlnt reboot had to go to the repair console run chkdsk /r then fixboot
