please anyone help me... ive bought 2 new p4 computers exactly the same. ive loaded up xp proffesional on both systems. one computer runs perfectly, but the other blue screens on startup.some of the messages ive been getting are: mostly (0*00...08e fips.sys), (0*0...050 page_fault_in_non_page_area), but also (0*0...0A), (0*0...0D1 driver irql_not_less_or_equal msfs.sys), (an atempt was made to write to read only memory ntfs.sys 0*0..0be), (worker_thread_returned_at_bad_irql 0*0....0e1). ive clean installed numeriously but keeps on happening. the strange thing is that if i leave my computer for a while on the blue screen and then restart a few times xp loads normaly. i have suspicions that it might be memory hardware problems but dont want to waste money until certain. please help!!

You can use the memory on the working computer to test this system to see if it works or not, then have the memory of the non-working system tested. Bye

Disable "BIOS CACHEABLE" in BIOS... this could help...

Msfs is a file system system driver linkd to ntfs....the ntfs file may be corrupt..try the repair option from the XP CD. Hope this helps. PC
