Heeellpp. Just booted up my PC and am getting blue screen saying with 'stop 00xxx1200' etc etc error. Message says 'if this is the first time you have seen this message reboot if fault persists use chkdsk /f or scan your PC for viruses' and some other crap. Tried to boot from floppy and wont, just straight into this blue screen Can anybody help Do I have to wipe my drive?
Try using safe mode and disable some programs that run when windows loads, there must be a program conflict which prevents your computer from loading up properly. I had the same problem. YOu're going to have to do a process of elimination, so write down which program works or doesn't work. I think you use START + RUN and then type mssetup or msconfig, I forget the exact wording. Good luck.
