Specs: Windows Vista
So I started gettting the blue screen with a Stop error message when I was putting my laptop into hibernation. But when I restarted it worked fine. So I searched on what this could be and found that a possible solution would be that my Windows XP service pack was not up to date. Sure enough, I checked and was running Service pack 2 instead of 3. So I downloaded and installed Service pack 3. It asked me to restart the computer and after I did, I cannot get the computer to come on at all. First I get a black screen asking if I want to open in safe mode or a few other options and no matter which option I choose, I only get a blue screen that says: irql_not_less_or_equal. I have read alot of options to try but all require getting into the computer, which so far I have not been able to do even in safe mode. Any suggestions??

All I can do is give you a location to read up on your problem.
Microsoft Knowledge Base.
Type - IRQL - Select Windows XP and click Search.
