I have a Dell Latitude CPi that I just formatted and installed winXP on. Everything is fine, except during one situation. If the computer is running, and I close up the computer (close the LCD), then when I open the screen back up, I get a blue screen. The blue screen gives me an error (0x0000007F) and does a physical memory dump. Then it shuts off. If anyone knows what the culprit might be, please email me at gdmorg@wm.edu. Thanks!

That physical memory dump usually means that you might want to dffr one more time. debug, fdisk, format, and reinstall. the debug script is as follows: boot to a dos prompt and type the word x:\> debug TYPE ENTER AFTER EVERY LINE. X'S are the numbers you are going to see.
-F 200 L1000 0
-A CS:100xxxx:0100 MOV AX,301
xxxx:0103 MOV BX,200
xxxx:0106 MOV CX,1
xxxx:0109 MOV DX,80
xxxx:010C INT 13
xxxx:010E INT 20
xxxx:0110 leave blank just press-G
program terminated normally (all partitions are gone)
ctrl - alt - del. then stick in the xp cd and let it go from there.
you can email me @ TLUppz@cs.com if you need anything else.

Thanks for the quick reply to my post. I just had a couple questions about your instructions.
1. How do I boot to the DOS prompt? (I'm not quite sure how to do this in XP)
2. I don't quite understand your debug instructions...is this what you want me to do:
at DOS prompt on C:\>
type "debug -F 200 L1000 0"
then ENTER
then "debug -A CS:100"
then ENTER
then "debug xxxx:0100 MOV AX,301"
then ENTER
and so on?
3. Also, you say replace X's with numbers...where will I see them?
4. Finally, does fdisk happen after I insert WinXP cd, or do I do this in DOS?
Sorry for so many questions...I'm kind of a newbie at this. Thanks again!!!
