Hi, i got a blue screen just a few minutes ago and it mentioned something about physical dump, and new hardward that was added. ( i will write down the error next time).

Things that i think could have caused this: New ram that i had just installed.

I bought some 512 DDR pc2100, swapped out my Sdram 512 and add the DDR. Things that might have caused it is the fact that the label on the ram is pc2700, even tho i ordered 2100 specifically. I had ordered 2100 from newegg.com got the 2700 returned it bc my mobo doesnt support it. When they sent the replacement it was the same chip packaged as pc2100 but labeled 2700 on the actual ram. The computer worked fine for the day, i was able to do the usual, Log on Star Wars galaxies, play winamp, furthermore, use kazaa, aim, and even classwork software.
I was under the impression that the ram was ok and it may have been a manufacturing error on th label, but later this night i got the afformentioned blue screen.

Is there something i dont kno about the pc2100 = pc2700 ? or was i just running to many processes? Thanks in advance

The next time you get a BSOD you can write down the code and go to this site.

Try removing the newly added memory and see what happens. If the computer still boots up with a BSOD, it's a Windows-related problem. If it works OK, try inserting the memory again. If it still won't work, you have a bad memory stick. If you want to check and see if it's really the memory, try it on other computer (if applicable).

Hope this assisted you somewhat! =)

Even if it is 2700 it should still work. Ram is backwards compatible.
