I have 2 problems
1. At boot in i get a blue error screen
2. The PC restarts on its own at least 3 to 4 times.
This has been going on for months
The error screen says
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to yor computer .
If this is the first time , you have seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. IF the screen appear again follow these steps.
Check to ensure you have adequate disc space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver uypdates.
Try changing video adapter.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disble BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing .
If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer , press F8 to select advance setup options and then select safe mode.

Technical information :
xxx Stop : 0x000000008E ,0xC00000001D, 0X81FDFo4a .............
Can somebody help??
Thanks in advance

Have you updated to SP2?

If not, do so & if you choose Custom, you will be able to see the updated drivers.

If you already have SP2, still go to Custom updates.

Hi:This kind of error is usually associated with a memory problem or a Failing CPU/CPU FAN

Also This could be your Ram/ video ram/ or cpu ram etc.

Download Memtest86+ from www.memtest.org

Let it run for at least seven passes and see what it comes
up with.

Other possible causes are anti virus software/Firewall/ third
party drivers etc.

My advice to you is : To strip your machine of everything
but the essentials and see if it works. If it does, rebuild
and test it piece by piece. This will allow you to diagnose
which part of your hardware is faulty. If
it doesn't work, it's likely you have a motherboard
or CPU problem.
Bon Courage..

Also check your mobo for swollen or leaking capacitors.
