lol explain why you dont want it (im curious :) ) and i am assuming you are a network admin of some kind... How about you just block www.mozilla.com That should keep people from installing it...

I don't understand.

You want to stop the installation of a browser that has nowhere near the number of security problems as the one that comes with Windows?

Does this mean you are willing to stick with I.E. and continue to download and install security updates from Microsoft?

Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.

Make them sign in as a user or guest on your systems then they will not have admin privileges and will not be allowed to install anything.

Only way to block a program from being installed is to either block them from accessing the download (ie: the website), or maybe modify their user privileges (ie: make them non-admins).

firefox is better than Internet Explorer...by sticking with IE, you're sticking with vulnerabilities that could be avoided by using firefox

k, thanks for the help. i was hoping thered be a more um...surgical..solution to it, but i guess ill just block the web site

the reason i dont want it is that its just more extra software installed on my machines. id rather just stick to something that comes with windows, and get IE's updates with the rest of the windows updates im getting anyway. IE security problems arent really a big issue to me.

now, if the computers were running say, linux, that would be a different story. but on windows machines, ill stick with IE.

umm. still not explained,,,,you have answered your own question, obviously know a little about computers, what was your concern? If you are the administrator of a network/system you should be able to block downloads, installs etc. Were you asking how to stop downloads/installs by others than administrators?
