Blocked port 80

Hi Can someone help me. I am trying to run IIS from Xp pro, but i have found out that my por 80 is blocked, eather by my Verizon or i am doing something wrong, i dont have any firewalls and i unchecked my firewall under network properties in my Verizon connection. can i use other port than port 80 to see my web site from external point. If yes pleas tell me what port should i use My web serveces are running and IIS is started, i can see my ftp from external but not my web. www.moryk.com ftp.moryk.com thanks.

to work around the ISP pport 80 block, change the IIS port setting to use another port, then when others and you want to access the web site, you are required to type the port number as part of the URL, for example:
www.moryk.com:8080
...But I got *majorly* bad news, Verizon's TOS state that running a server is prohibited. :(
Thus, you should get another ISP. :(

in your web site setting make sure ip address is set to [All unassigned] now try to view it
Summary: It's unlikely that your browser is "blocking" port 80. Do you get any error messages when websites fail to load? Does the browser itself display any messages (such as "404 not found", for example)? ...
Summary: help I've never been able to let people from outside to browse my webserver. My XP firewall's off... Also tried to turn it on and allow http, also tried to add to allow port 81 and change my webserv...
