I been getting very annoyed about aim's advertisement; cause not only do they have banners that i got rid of, now they have sounds from the advertisements. Does anyone know how i can get rid of the sounds? The sounds come once every hour or so and they are definitely advertisements.

You could go back to an older version of AIM. They can be had at www.oldversion.com. Or you could use a different IM program like ICQ. I'm afraid all that Bull crap is built into AIM and paid for by advertisers so you can use the program for free. What a price we pay for freedom......

is there any other advise that i can use from anyone else? I know the older aim fixes that problem but it also makes the firewall prob appear. So i don't want that to happen, its my way of exchanging files with my friends.
