blank screen before windows logo

When i turn my PC on, before the Windows XP logo, the screen is blank for about a minute and fifteen seconds(yes, i counted one day, lol) its kind of annoying, does anyone know how to rid of this?

When you say "Windows Logo" do you mean the boot image? Which says "Windows XP" and has the little blue bar going across the screen.

I have a similar issue mine happens just after the Windows XP logo just before i get to my profiles. It is not as long as a minute and fifteen seconds. but its a good twenty seconds or so.
