hello I have a problem , with my toshiba laptop, it runs on windows xp. each time I turn it on, it turns on, but when it gets to the desktop - it stays blank, I can only see my besktop background. the only way , I've found to get my icons back , is to, cntr + alt +dlt, and then I say , new task. then , my documents, then my icons re-apear . hope some one can help me! please e-mail me , if u can help, kotze.gerhard@yahoo.com thanx

hi, thanx mavis it works, but it isn't a permanent solution. every time I restart my laptop , it does the same thing again, I don't know why it started at first, I was making a power point presentation while being on the internet, and then I shut down my laptop and started it up, it started.!
