The HL-DT-ST RW/DVD G CC-448iB drive on my computer does not recognize blank cd's. I get an error message: "D:\is not accessible. Incorrect function." Also, if I try to save a file on a disc that has already been used for saving files, the following message appears: "You do not have permission to save in this directory. See the administraor to obtain permission." The drive plays DVD's, CD's, and will open saved data files from cd's. This all happened after I installed Nero 7 on the computer, and then uninstalled it. Thanks in advance for any wisdom regarding this.

Paul

you may need this tool for a proper uninstallation of NERO (also works with NERO 7)

Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'

Mattie,

Thanks for the advice. I'm still getting the message "D:\is not accessible. Incorrect function" when placing a blank cd in the drive.

Is there anything else that I may try to remedy this? Thanks again for your assistance.

P. S. Love today's subliminal thought!

On the Nero screen there is a small dropdown window in the middle which says DVD, DVD/CD, CD... have you set it to the right window for the material you are using. Just a thought!

Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!
