im writing this on behalf of my dad... make a long story short, he let some of his friends use it.. ever since this:
first WORD would show a letter that the person had written.. you could select all and erase, type, save a new document, save (save over) whatever, but when you closed WORD and opened it back up, the text was right there! i deleted the doc file, still there.. deleted the normal.dot file.. still there.. did a system resort to before the person used it, fixed that... went to empy the temp folder... and then went to empty the trash, and one folder could not be emptied.. look inside, nothing was there!? read online a bit... was able to, goto into c:\recycler, and tried evertying to get out this invisible folder.. finally renamed the folder inside of c:\recycler to pooop... then a new trash was created, this time empty.. good right? no.. now the old trash, which just became a folder inside of c:\recycler will not delete, i can move it, i can rename it, but i cannot delete it.. tried in dos over and over.. i moved the folder pooop to C:\.. in dos did a c:\pooop dir... it waited a bit... then said <DIR> and under it, file not found... i put a blank text doc in pooop, and in 5 seconds, it was gone! i copied a picture, placed it inside, gone... goto command prompt... dir c:\pooop and shows nothing iside, but rather than being just empty, it says FILE NOT FOUND... ive tried everything rd C:\pooop /s ah/ del... i read and read, and tried and tried.. file is still there...
ran spybot, nothing, Ad-Aware SE Personal, nothing... checked startup folder and also msconfig startup... nothing funny! started up in SAFE MODE, safe mode command prompt only.. tried to delete again (checked permissions... gave admin full rights) nothing nothing.. when i tried a command del, i would get " cyclic redundency check" error...please, someone with some knowitalls.. please help!!!! i will send you thankyou vibes for the rest of my life!!!
pj

Run chkdsk and then see if you can delete it.
If that does not work, try http://www.snapfiles.com/get/moveonboot.html

i tried many programs to force delete... shredders and all this.. tried three all in all.. i will send the link to my dad, and have him give it a go.. but i am very doubtful!
the chkdsk i did.. but not with the bottom tab check... (restart and all)
but i told my dad to check both, shut it down, and restart... and see if he is then able to... again, very doubtful! this thing is strage!! i have the Hijack this log if anyone cares... looks very fine to me...pj
