Pls HELP!
My PC screen goes black after 10 to 20mins usage.I have to restart it to use it again and it goes to black screen after few mins. I have tried reinstalling XP, new memory card and CPU with no joy. I havent installed any new hardware or software. I am using my friends tower on my monitor and it works fine.

The indicator light on the monitor may tell what is wrong. If it is green, then it is getting a signal from the computer. If it is amber, then you have a cable or video card problem. If no light, then no power.

Also to say, you should get more RAM.
XP uses all of, at least, 128MB to run properly,
and works better. Then you need more than that
for running other programs. Try 256 or 512 more.

It is hard to diagnose your problem since you haven't given your system specs. Do you have an onboard video card/AGP or PCI?
Since your monitor works fine on a friends PC, it can't be your monitor. Please let us know what kind of video card you have and help will be on the way.

If you tried your tower with his monitor it would probably do the same thing, sounds like possibly an underpowered PSU or heat inside the case, take the side covers off and see if it will stay on longer.
