Comment: Hi, i have a strange problem: on my AMD processored XP some games (fs2002, warcraft 3), produce a black screen where nothing can be done anymore other than hard booting via ATX-Mainpower switch (5sec). Even then the System doesn't boot, if done immediately afterwards (at least it seems like it), after trying later it boots ok, without any indication for the crash (no eventlog entry, no information that the system has not been shut down properly etc.) i have an amd 1Ghz athlon on an msi mainboard with 768mb and a gforce3 on a standard 17" monitor. Anyone any ideas??

Reply: Could be your games are switching to a display mode that is not supported by your monitor. How old is the monitor and what refresh rates does it support?
