i have a toshiba satelite laptop with windows xp. i havent used it for several months. today i turned it on and i got a black screen which says password =. i do not rember setting any password. how do i repair this problem as i cant get into use laptop. thanks.

That sounds like an anti-theft password. You might have to contact the manufacturer.
