My brother changed screen resolution in WinXP. Now, XP won't display correct on the monitor. The "WinXP Home.." loading image is ok, but when windows is changes to a higher resolution, the monitor goes black. It doesn't change from 640x480 to the preset winXP resolution. I can still hear sounds, warnings and so (from messenger and ICQ), so it seems like windows work fine except for the graphics... What to do? I've tried to repair, but I havent got a password for that... (required in the restoring console) Dell Dimension 8200 with WinXP home
