bizarre keyboard prob (cont.)

Hello all, I hate to do this but please could I refer you to a problem I posted earlier - http://www.computing.net/windowsxp/wwwboard/forum/102991.html I hope you can understand the circumstances and why I am in such desperation to rectify the problem and any help would be extremely welcome. Did you try device manager and uninstall the keyboard and let XP reinstall on the next boot?

Unfortunately I have tried that yet Ithe problem still remains. Thank you for your help nonetheless, I am so desperate any input is great.

If this helps, the drivers shown in device manager are: C:\windows\system32\drivers\i8042prt.sys and kbdclass.sys in the same drivers folder.
