Specs: XP Media Centre, 1024MB
After debugging my computer with the help of a Dell Technician .. I had all partitions deleted , created a new one and installed XP media centre on it again!

Heres where the problem is, when booting up i get bootinfo.inf is missing or corrupt, press r to use recovery console

Im pretty sure i know the problem, I installed BIOS 2.2.0 months ago, but when i installed the Windows XP again on it well ago, its using the old bootinfo.inf file which has different BIOS

How can this be fixed?

And i dont have a floppy drive to do some sort of boot, which ive been told

Thanks
Scott

I would say you need to go back to Dell tech support. What you are describing isn't something that could even be an issue on a custom PC.

If it's biosinfo.inf, checkout:

The computer wont boot without the file so how am i supposed to get into it ?? This happened when the computer was rebooting to complete setup, is there anyway i can find out the BIOS the cd is configured for, and install them back onto the PC

Would i be right in what i said? I have the BIOS on the computer updated to 2.2.0 , but the CD is configured for older BIOS , therefore when i installed XP again, its trying to use the old biosinfo.info file with the newer 2.2.0

Dell Technician wont be there will monday
