Bios upgrade

I AM HAVING GREAT DIFFICULTY IN LOCATING THE CORRECT BIOS UPGRADE, I HAVE AT PRESENT A
P6 VAA VERSION 1.0C BUILD DATE 12/7 2000 E,C,S BOARD.
THE NEAREST I CAN GET TO THIS IS A P6 VAA PCB 1.0X VERSION 1.0C. BUILD DATE 12/8/2000.
I am told you must have the exact version or you could land with big problems. can someone help. ? ?

I agree with Jimi_1. Only upgrade a Bios if you have a very good reason.

Any time you think about flashing your BIOS, ask yourself, "Why?"

If the only answer you get is, "'Cause mine's not the latest one" then, forget about it.

Flashing the BIOS can bring a number of unwelcome results, ranging from loss of functions, to no BIOS at all.

Unless it's neccessary, e.g. in order to add support for new hardware, don't flash the BIOS!


Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.
