Hi all
what do u computing net gurus think of on-line bios upgrades??
or is it more reliable to tote the box to the computer shop tech instead

I just use the updates provided by the manufacturer. Why do you want/need to update your BIOS?

Normally you shouldn't mess with the bios unless you have identified a problem requiring it.

Yes, do not do a bios upgrade unless you have a problem and are 'positive' that the bios upgrade will fix it.

Do yourself a favor BACKUP!

Most of the BIOS upgrates came with the Y2K panic. If you have a pre-2000 MOBO I would suggest it is time to invest in a newer system. You are in the stoneages.
