I need to update bios can any one help me to do this thx

I am surprised it runs at all with only 64 mb memory. If you have a problem, install more memory before messing with the bios.

I asked those questions, because if your computer is working good, leave it alone. BIOS flashes are PERMANENT, and can result in things not working better, in fact they can have the opposite effect. You can get your BIOS information for you to update it at http://www.ami.com/support/bios.cfm. You will need a floppy disk, and follow the AMI instrctions completely, because if a failure occurs you just lost your computer. You will have to get a new bios installed by a shop. Some motherboards have bios chips that are not replaceable. They actual procedure is easy, but you must be aware of the dangers.

Neil,
Is it you looked but could not find an update, OR, you'd rather have another do it to save you the time and trouble?

kjanz, gadep is right about the amount of memory. If you look at the belarc report there is only one slot with 64MB of RAM. Getting more RAM would be a lot safer than a bios flash.

Bob- It is reading 383 in IDE 0 [Had drive, Which doesnt make any sense. It is reading ram slots 0=0,1=0, 2=64,3=0.

i did it and it works for me. get a win 9x boot disk. delete autoexe.bat and config.sys(for SPACE on floppy)... add pflash.exe to the disk and the new bios file to the disk. just make sure you write the new bios name down so you have it handy. it is case sensitive so if there is a capitol letter in the name or whatever type it exectly. at the a: prompt type in PFLASH.exe and follow the directions it is easy. just take your time read everything. just in case if your comp. does not want to reboot after the new bios, clear the cmos. do that with a jumper on your mobo. check out the users manual for yor mobo first, thoroughly. if you don't have one i bet you can download one from the manufacturer.
