Hello,
I want to format my computer (P4), so, can anyone give me safe instructions like BIOS Settings before going to format a computer and also i want to erase all my data while formatting a computer.

There should be no reason to mess with any BIOS settings except to make sure the CD drive is listed before the HDD in the boot order. Other than that, just boot off the XP disc & follow the instructions. Delete the current partitions, repartition as you see fit, format the partitions using NTFS, then reinstall XP. Hopefully you have all the necessary device drivers ready to go.
