BIOS ROM checksum error

yesterday when i start up my computer like usual. and this error came up "BIOS ROM checksum error" i tried to search for solution from different forum and going to boot with my bootable disk via floppy, but then another error came up "Disk I/O errors" . please help, what can i do? thanks!

The BIOS is independent from any OS, so booting from your hard drive, diskette or CD is in no way going to be terribly helpful - fwiw, disk I/O error probably means a bad diskette
You could reset the CMOS to default settings from the CMOS setup or from the motherboard jumper or by removing/replacing the battery. If it is a weak battery, try replacing.

I've also had this error when my keyboard became unplugged so you might try checking all connections.

jboy you are right. i used another floppy and it worked. probably my floppy was unclean or messed up. thanks!
