This is a very frustrating and annoying issue. I seem to be constantly unable to access my BIOS. My computer specs (that came with the unit) tell me to push F1 in "one second intervals" upon boot up but that doesn't work. Holding it down - doesn't work. Trying F2 - doesn't work.

This has been an ongoing issue. I have been able to access the BIOS before but it's been through major "screwing around" and button pushing and it's so rare that I always forget how I got in there. But the truth is, there is just no consistancy in accessing it. Whatever I've done before believe me I have tried and then one day POOF it will let me in out of the blue with a simple button push upon reboot, just not consistantly and when I want too.

What can I do?? My screen upon boot up displays the : computer, VGA, ram, graphics card. It doesn't display the "setup" options.

ANY SUGGESTIONS??? THANKS GUYS...

Doing this is notoriously capricious. You have to start hitting F1 (it's a different key for different computers -- I assume you're right that yours is F1) the second it starts to boot -- or even before -- and at shorter than one second intervals. Often you can catch it, but often not. In my edperience "screwing around" doesn't make it work any better.

Not working. Have tried to push F1 even before it restarts and continuing past boot up and it's still not working. I simply don't know why this is SUCH an issue with my PC.

How do i get the display at the beginning to say "press F1 (or whatever) to go to setup" or whatever i've seen it say on other computers. Mine just displays the graphics card specs and ram and that's it.

Once again, are you positive it's F1? Try F8 just for the heck of it.
