bios can not detect hdd

Specs: Windows XP, core 2 duo/2 gb
when my coputer started i get amessage at welcome screen user environment "windows can not load the locally stored profile.possible cause of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile.if this problem persists contact you network administrator".this takes 30 seconds after this a new message gets appear "windows can not find the loca profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile.changes to make this profile may lost when you logged off"

if the bios fail to detect hdd u can't see "welcome screen" or use windows. Sound like your account is bad, logon as administrator and create another account.

I would suggest you go into recovery console and run chkdsk /p to check the hard drive for corruption.

Is this the administrator profile that is corrupt? Any other admin users on this system?

Guddu8122010 what does your bios have to do with this issue? Did you get this message at some point in time?
