when i cold boot in the morning i get no screen nor do i get any bios beeps..i hit restart then after bout 5 sec i hear 1 short beep then 5 sec later i hear another short beep then 1 sec later another short beep...so thats 1............1..1 beeps...3 total...this is about the time i can see the memory test...(i disabled the fast post to see if that would help---it didnt) ok so now if my pc has been running (and seemingly warmed up) and i shut down and boot again i get the same beeps but i will get the screen to show...if i restart i just hear one beep and the screen comes up...everything is fine otherwise...i watched the memory test and it looks fine...my pc reports 640 ram and that is correct..i went to "pcpitstop" and i passed with near flying colors..the "yellow flags" i got were trivial..no probs with memory in any test..i have good 350 watt power supply too...i have new video drivers too...this has been going on now for at least 3 weeks..no worse and no better...any ideas? thanks

Hmm, well when metal is cold it contracts, and when hot it expands. Maybe something in your machine is not making good contact. I think you should try reseating all your cards, memory, and maybe even CPU.
