My friend and I both want to share original music online w/ eachother but don't know how to set up an EASY way to do it. Chat services such as Yahoo, AIM, etc. have a file size limit of usually 1 or 1.5MB. I've never used FTP. I'm not looking for something like KazaA, just something easy and simple to use to transfer .wav files w/ another computer running XP. The other computer I'd be connecting to has cable internet access, I still use dial-up. In your suggestions please keep in mind that the other computer user is a beginner.

I used to do this with my ICQ. I would send very large files to friends. Best way is FTP.....its easy. good luck

Using remote desktop you could make a connection to his or him to yours and copy and paste the files from his to yours or yours to his.

Email seems to suit you now. Since files are 1MB you might want to use a file splicer to cut it into 500K and send separetely. Else - ZIP disks, and an FTP (via ICQ is easiest if you don;t use FTP before). FTP programs - there is a free FTP (WS FTP LE) and SMARTFTP all free online. Good luck.
