hi,
i dont know much about mp3 players..but i have mp3's files on cd and a standard 700mb cd holds about 150 mp3's depending on the file sizes.so im guessing 1 gig will hold maybe 200 to 230 depending on the size of the files.

That's not going to be big enough. 1GB is stone age. It will fit about 200 songs at best, unless you reduce their quality. Then you may get 300 or so.

I have a 40GB iPod which I NEVER thought I would fill. At first I had just 4GB and now 1 year later I have 29GB of songs.

For about the same price as that Creative you could get a 4GB iPod.

My dearest George:

Good solid unit + decent storage + low price=

- US$150 Rio Carbon MP3-Player 5 GB (w/1 Inch HDD) silber. Get this one! It's tiny and fits 1000+ songs and the earphones are GREAT!)

- or for $50 more get: Creative Zen Touch 20GB - US$200 = 20GB or US$300 = 60GB

Good luck.

Peace.
