Hello. I am on WinXP Pro SP2 Until now I have always used Spam Bully as antispam protector for Outlook Express. Recently it continuously crashes my OE even after a full reinstall, so, forgive me for expression but I piss on it… I would really appreciate some serious suggestion on a good antispam protector for OE. other than pulling your nework connection the best free spam protection imho is MailWasher. simple, straight forward and 100% efficency www.mailwasher.net how it works: mailwasher will show a list of all e-mails on the server waiing for your email client to retrive them (incl. preview pane). you have a couple of options (blacklist, delete, friend list and bounce back), once you have choosen the apropriate action, you hit 'process mail'. when done, mailwasher opens your email program which then is getting only those emails in that are left on the server. I prefer to view on the ISP's server, download what I want & delete the rest. I am not recommending anything, my list gives you a starting point to find something to suit your operating system ( most people do not even mention it ) & skill level. What will work on my computer, may not be happy on yours. I go with Mattie; I have been using Mailwasher for years. It is lethal to spam, never crashed or corrupted my system or failed on me. I have never gotten an e-mail virus on any of my computers. Nasty porn spam I bounce back at the sender with an "incorrect address" system message and I am removed off their list. I recently upgraded to the Pro Firetrust version because I have several e-mail addys and want them all covered. For free, what more can we ask? Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime; Then industry pollutes the water and kills all the fish.
