From your experience, what is the absolutely best file manager for Windows?
I know a few, like Total Commander, Norton Commander, Frigate, and a couple of others, but I would be interested to know the opinion of this forum.

You may want to try PowerDesk 5.0. There is a freeware version available at:

One handy feature is called File Finder, which can perform a very 'deep' search when you're looking for hard to find files and folders.

Hi,

I selected Total Commander because I freqently change items affecting a group of files and found TC to be the best. I can ask it to find all the *.jpg files nested as deep as can be which it will do and then export them anywhere including my website.
Or delete them. Or change their properties.
I call it the Swiss Army Knife of File Managers. Which is doubly true, since the author Christian Ghisler resides in Switzerland.

Good Luck,

Emmett

Total Commander is an excellent program for $30. A piece of free software which also does a nice job is 2xExplorer.
