Roger, As far as your Internet access, go to the link below and read the page and the lspfix.txt at the bottom the download the LSPFix.exe file onto a floppy disc, transfer the floppy to the problem computer and run it. Someone else will have to help with the HijackThis log.

Roger,

Hope the LSP fix works, cause you're going to need an internet connection for the removal instructions.

Download and run this file to fix Peper Trojan:
http://home01.wxs.nl/~kleyn080/uninst.exe
double click on 'uninst.exe', let it run and terminate.

To delete all the associated files download the following tool:
http://www.mjc1.com/files/mo/drpeper.html
It will self extract to C:.

Find :
C:\drpeper\Find backup and Delete Peper files.vbs file and double click.

On the first prompt copy and paste:
Dqk6Z.exe

And hit ok.
You will get a confirmation and proceed:

On the second, paste:

2LRX2W83X2T3MQ

And hit ok.

It will find all the files, delete them and will make backups in the same folder.
It'll open a text file (Peper.txt) with the list of all files deleted.
Make sure it is saved. If need be you can post this file later along with a new HJT log

Then.. close all windows except Hijack This, put a check mark in the following to fix:

Reboot into safe mode (tap F8 key on reboot, select safe mode) and delet the following:

C:\Program Files\AproposClient\Apropos.exe --- all files and folders (Apropos)

Hi Shep, one more thing;

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P Networking] C:\WINDOWS\System32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking.exe /AUTOSTART

Roger,
Also uninstall P2P Networking through Add/Remove Programs. If/when asked whether you also want to remove Altnet components, say 'Yes'.
P2P Networking is a totally useless Kazaa add-on, and it's been reported to be responsible for serious system slowdowns.

Subsequently remove the P2P Networking folder in C:\Windows\System32, if still there.

I found a really easy way to get rid of this trojan. I simply ran AVG anti-virus for windows. For those of you who don't have it and are interested in free anti-virus software, I highly recommend it. You can get it here.
