Comment:
Hi i wanted some information on the belkin bluetooth dongle shown on this argos website: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6767323.htm
Now here it says that the dongle is class 2 V.2, but in the description below it says in the bullet point section that the dongle adds bluetooth v1.2 wireless technology to your usb pc or notebook.
But i thought it was CLASS 2 V.2? how has it all of a sudden become 1.2?
I was wondering if someone can clearify me on this and tell me if if there is such a thing as V2? or is it just 1.2?

Hi class refers to radio frequency range & power class1 100m 100mW class2 10m 2.5mW class3 <1 m 1mW
the v2 , 1.2 etc refers to the bluetooth specification, 1, 1.2 2.0 ie improved versions of frequency hopping , faster data speeds etc
so the argos widget supports devices which are v1.1 upto v2 bluetooth. ie its backwards compatible with old devices and supports any new devices upto version 2.0 bluetooth. & £8.34 at aria.co.uk
