I presume you mean that when your laptop is plugged IN, that there is no battery meter?
That is normal, BUT, the meter should show when the laptop is unplugged.Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

Hiya devils6889
Have you tried right clicking the taskbar or system tray and selecting properties? There, if you select "Customize", you have options of selecting how you want current and past icons to act in the system tray... e.g. "Hide when inactive", "Always hide" and "Always show". Or you can simply choose to "Restore Defaults"
I hope this helps.

P.S. the "On AC Power" icon is the same as the battery meter icon. They switch depending on how you are powering your laptop. Battery meter when you are running it on the battery and "On AC" when laptop is plugged in.
