I have a Toshiba Satellite M55-S3314 laptop and I recently installed a fresh copy of windows xp pro. I would of used the recovery cd that came with it but it seems that I have lost it. All went well and installed all the drivers and most of the toshiba apps that came with it originally. Now my problem is that my battery meter will not show, all it shows is a battery with the two hands holding it. When I point my mouse over the icon it displays ac power, so I double click it and the toshiba power saver application comes on and gives me the option of changing to normal mode power saver mode etc. Where it says battery life it has a N/A, now maybe I missed to install a driver or some toshiba app but how can I get this to work?. This might be it but I went into power options and went thrue the tabs and came across one called ups, it then says at the middle "Manufacture NONE Model:" and it gives me an option to select one. Is that what I need to configure? or am I missing something that I need to download. I did not have any battery problems or any kind of problem so far so im pretty sure its not the battery failing on me. If anyone could help I would appreciate it tremendously thank you.
