I have a dell XPS desktop that I have had for 2 years now. All of a sudden it wont boot now. I turn on the PC, the light flashes, and it starts to boot. The screen comes up with the DELL logo and a blue bar beneath it (this load bar is the 1 before the windows one). Every single time I boot it the bar stops at the E in DELL and never goes past it. I booted the PC up and shut it down about 50 times before it finally made it past the E and booted up normally.

so your problem is rectified?

You have a dell, why not use the XP cd it came with and do a repair install?
