Comment:

I have recently bought a CPU & Motherboard set. When i put my hdd in and installed Win 2k the operating system would not start if my CPU speed was set at 1800mhz. I therefore had to set it at 1100mhz and so to try and combat the problem i have upgraded my OS to xp pro. Now when i set my CPU speed to 1800, the BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO error comes up when i boot. i have changed the files in system32\cnfig from read only and that hasn't helped. Can someone please help me?!?!?!

Try flashing the bios for your new motherboard? This has become a normal thing for me to do on the computers I install.
