I removed my HD and placed it into another computer to duplicate it to that computer's HD. After returning it to the original tower I get a blue screen stating bad_system_config_info. I have check the jumpers, IDE connectors, and everything seems to be in the correct place. What can it be. I even tried booting up from the CD-ROM with the same results.

i have had this and i think you have to reboot in safe mode and go to the device manager and remove the ide/raid/ata/anything pertaining to your HHD devices right click them to do it.

im not 100% this sure if this will fix your issue, but doing that wont harm your system because all it does is alow windows to allocate the right driver for your hard drive and/or IDE slot on your motherboard
