Comment:

Well I downloaded a massive program that was supposed to be a game. SHoulda realized not to install it after I noticed it was an exe file. I was a little suspicous so I backed up my registry and such before starting it and scanned it for viruses. Then I tried to run it. All that happened was a small dos window appeared for a second and went away. I tried to delete it but it says that another person or program is using it. I looked through all my processes and can't find which one could be using it.

Does anyone have any idea how to either delete it or track which processes it is using. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Launch and leave open the cmd window, then bring up task manager and leave open too.

Go back to the cmd windows type the path to delete the file and then from task manager start a new task, browse to explorer.exe and launch it so that you have the desktop back.

Goodluck
