bad monitor

I have a viewsonic e70f and when i press a menu button the screen flashes colors. Sometimes it will be abstract colors and shapes instead of the menu.......is the monitor going bad? ......i just don't want to ship it back ......sigh...........

Nickman is probably correct, but why not try one thing first, download the latest drivers for your monitor from Viewsonic and install them. Maybe....
