Bad Image Quality in IE

I have a Dell XPS laptop. My IE displays images horribly. Even if I go to Google, the logo looks really bad. My resolution is set to 1920 x 1200 on True Color. At first I thought it might've been displaying images in IE poorly because I have a widescreen laptop, but I changed the resolution to 1024 x 768 and it still looked bad. I downloaded the Google logo and it looks fine in ACDSee. I have "Smart image dithering" enabled. What's the problem? Thanks!
